Synopsis: This program fixes GIF files that have a "screen resolution" that confuses some buggy viewer programs. This problem is RARE and mostly comes from old GIF files create with old tools. The usual symptoms of this problem are GIF images that don't resize properly.

I wrote this program because I had several gif images that did not resize properly when displayed on web sites. The problem turned out to be the "screen size" that is encoded into the gif images. These (very old) images had been created with very old image editing software, which had used the screen resolution as the screen size rather than the image resolution. This program has a VERY SPECIFIC purpose -- if this isn't what's wrong with your GIF image, then this program probably isn't useful to you.
