Below is a screen shot of the main window of the SMTP Watcher utility:

As you can see above, there is a central listview where you can enter the SMTP servers that you want to monitor. You can add as many SMTP servers as you want to the list and SMTP Watcher will poll them all for you.

The 'Enable' field allows you to toggle various severs on and off for monitoring (it's useful if a server is down, and you know it's down, then you can disable further warnings). The 'last result' field shows the result of the last connection attempt. The 'good' and 'bad' columns are a count of successful and unsuccessful connections.

You can set SMTP Watcher to record a continuous log file of results, which is useful for analysis at a later date. You can also control the polling interval. SMTP Watcher can be minimized to the windows system tray and will pop-up when errors are detected.
