Version 5.0 of Android Newsgroup Downloader introduces Bandwidth Counter statistics. These counters keep a running total on how many bytes you have downloaded from your news server. You can use them to keep track of the bandwidth that you have consumed in case your news server has a limit on how much bandwidth that you can use.

 

The bandwidth counter statistics include three totals: lifetime, trip, and session. The lifetime counter shows all bandwidth used over the lifetime of the software (i.e. since the first time you used it).

The 'trip' statistic functions like the trip odometer in your car; you can reset it when you like, such as when your news server account renews, in order to keep track of the bandwidth that you've used.
