The throughput-o-meter is a graph that shows the download (or upload) performance of Android Newsgroup Downloader. You can use it to evaluate the performance of your Internet connection, your newsgroup server, etc.

The throughput-o-meter shows a line for each on of Android's threads (or simultaneous connections) to the news server. A line is also shown that is the aggregate (or total) of all of the threads. Using multiple connections does produce a big advantage, and you can see this yourself if you fiddle with the thread settings while Android is running.

The throughput-o-meter is another one of those great bells and whistles that Android has to allow power users to tune their downloading performance.
